While we adore Grandma's classic recipe, it's time to shake things up with a healthier, high-protein version that will leave you guilt-free and satisfied. Say hello to our refined sugar-free, protein-packed Sourdough Banana Bread! At just 150 calories and 8 grams of protein per slice, this delicious treat makes for the perfect breakfast or snack. My whole family loves when I make this Healthier, High-Protein "BB" Banana Bread with Greek Yogurt and Cottage Cheese!

I highly recommend investing in a kitchen scale to measure your ingredients - especially when it comes to whole wheat flour! Plus, you'll have less measuring cups to clean.


Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.

  3. Blend the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and milk in a blender cup until smooth.

  4. Combine the blended mixture with the mashed bananas in the bowl.

  5. Add the egg, vanilla, and honey, and stir to combine.

  6. Incorporate the oat flour, whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt into the mixture and stir until well combined.

  7. Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Slice and enjoy your healthy, high-protein banana bread!

Store any leftover baked banana bread in the fridge to keep it fresh.
